Mine did and I love my new logo.
Remember from my earlier blog post about needed to give Wild Beauty a business makeover. I met with business consultant Suzanne Stoekler back in December 2011. I had a few boo boo’s that needed to be fixed. Well I’m almost done. One of my boo boo’s was my logo. It doesn’t accurately reflect where was my company is now and where I’m going. When Wild Beauty first opened, I was making body oils and lotions. The logo was designed to reflect how nature is a great moisturize and can give you the healthiest skin. My business has grown and expanded into bamboo candles. I nixed the lotions. I’m #teambodyoil baby!!!
Let’s look at my old logo.
I started researching at other natural skin care, green and eco-friendly and bath and body beauty logos. To get a feel and come up with some ideas this time around being a copycat. When I go to events and meet people, they remember me as the woman who makes the body oils from her family’s century old recipes. It never fails. One night I had a dream and woke up with a sudden thought that my logo needed to have a recipe book in it. Since everyone remembers me as the lady who makes great body oils from her family’s recipes.
The first attempt at getting an new logo designed was a ridiculous, hot mess. They person who did this logo actually stole pieces from other sites and put it together. I learned from my new graphic designer, Rick. He’s my next door neighbor’s friend. Rick went to all the sites this person frequented and show me the parts of the logo design came fro. A picture is worth a million words. After you see it, nothing else needs to be written.
And now, my new logo, it was designed by Richard (Rick) Lennert email email@example.com. He has at least 10 years in the business. Rick uses no clip art, everything is hand drawn. I had an image in my mind and he really did a great job of making it into a reality. Thank you, Rick.
What I really loved is the new slogan which will appear on every product. “No lab. No chemist. No complex formula, just family recipes.” Thank you, Suzanne Stoekler for this business makeover that was much needed. At first I fought against it but now I truly understand that your logo, mission and products must all work together and be able to tell people who you are so they can relate and connect with you.
This week will be taking pictures of Wild Beauty’s body oils and candles with the new logo and will have them ready on the website by Feb. 1st. The website is almost done with its makeover and also be revealed Feb. 1st.
